FAMILY DIALOGUE
ABOUT COMMUNICATION
An eight-week online workshop designed for family members and friends of people with mental health and/or addiction challenges, who would like to explore mutually beneficial ways of interacting with others.
Participants practice communication strategies using role plays based on real life scenarios.
This is what past participants have to say about the workshop:
"I now know I'm not alone and that in alone is so comforting. I don't feel the same amount of guilt as I did before. I now have strategies I can use. I realize I don't need to fix every problem or crisis my loved one has."
"I think the workshop was fabulous. It introduced me to concepts that hold the promise of improving communication with almost everyone I come into contact with."
“I approached participation in this workshop with trepidation but the warmth, caring and humour of the leaders and the caring and bright minds of the other participants sucked me in and I found that I was learning a lot and feeling supported as I have not felt before. ”
